The Boeing Employees Karate Association (BEKA) is located in Western Washington and consists of several dojos.  BEKA teaches the traditional style of Shindo Jinen Ryu karate and is affiliated with the Japan Karate Federation.

Kata (forms) and Kumite (sparring) are included in a curriculum that develops physical fitness and self-confidence.  Training is provided for those desiring to compete in karate as a sport using the rules of the USA-NKF and the World Karate Federation.  BEKA has several members who compete at the national and international level, including some who are current and/or past national champions in their divisions.

Classes for all levels of karate enthusiast are available at the Boeing Everett and Oxbow facilities.  Note: As of Sept 30, we no longer have a dojo in Kent.

Membership is open to all active & retired Boeing employees and their families, as well as contractors.  New students are asked to join during the first two weeks of each quarter, and attend the beginner's classes offered at that time.

Belt promotions are conducted through Japan Karate Federation Northwest, and tournaments are held periodically.
